Avenged Sevenfold sneaks new song clip into tour recap video

Avenged Sevenfold sneaks new song clip into tour recap videoCredit: Jeff Forney Earlier this month, Avenged Sevenfold shared a recap video featuring footage from their 2018 European tour. If you watched the four-minute clip to the end, you also experienced a largely unnoticed sneak preview of the band's future plans. About 10 seconds before the video cuts off, what sounds like a new A7X song starts playing over the logo for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, suggesting that the band had recorded a new track for the upcoming video game. The members of Avenged Sevenfold, particularly frontman M. Shadows, are known to be avid gamers, and they previously contributed a track called "Carry On" to 2012's Call of Duty: Black Ops II. Black Ops 4 will arrive on October 12, but hopefully we'll get to hear whatever Avenged Sevenfold has been working on before then.  The band's been quiet this summer after canceling their U.S. tour due to Shadows suffering from injured vocal cords.
