Flaw gets a new van, thanks to Stephen Colbert

Earlier this year, the Late Show host name-dropped the nu-metal band, who you may remember for their early 2000s singles "Payback" and "Recognize," in a segment about a proposed crowdfunding campaign to build President Donald Trump's border wall.  Colbert comparing the idea to Flaw's actual crowdfunding campaign to buy a new van. On Friday's episode, Colbert revealed that, despite his mention of Flaw's campaign, the band did not reach their $15,000 fundraising goal. "After that shout out from me, you the Late Show community stepped up and agreed that you don't care if Flaw needs a van," he joked. So, instead, Colbert bought Flaw the van himself. Colbert then shot a video of him giving the van to Flaw, and encouraging them to decorate it with "metal" accessories, including pink pillows and a kitten. He also filmed a video with the band for their new single "Conquer This Climb," which shows him headbanging while Flaw rocks out in front of their new van. "This is truly a huge milestone for FLAW!" says the band. "Thank you to everyone that is a part of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert crew! They really made it a fun experience for us and thank you to all the FLAW FAMILY and FLAW fans for the support! Stay tuned for some great things in the future!" Copyright © 2018, ABC Radio.
