Megadeth's David Ellefson releasing solo album "Sleeping Giants" alongside upcoming book
Megadeth bassist David Ellefson has announced his debut solo album.
Titled Sleeping Giants, the record is described a companion piece to Ellefson’s upcoming memoir, More Life with Deth. The album arrives July 5, while the book will be released July 16.
A number of guests are featured on Sleeping Giants, including Alter Bridge‘s Mark Tremonti, ex-Guns N’ Roses guitarist Bumblefoot and Run-DMC rapper Darryl McDaniels, among others.
This year is shaping up to feature a fair amount of new Ellefson music. In January, he and Anthrax bassist Frank Bello released a new album with their Altitudes & Attitude project. Meanwhile, Megadeth has also been working on new material, the follow-up to 2016’s Dystopia.
