New Foo Fighters album is "finished," according to Dave Grohl
Prepare yourself for new Foo Fighters.
During an interview on The Bill Simmons Podcast, frontman Dave Grohl revealed that his band’s next album, the follow-up to 2017’s Concrete and Gold, is “finished.”
“We just finished making a record,” Grohl said. He added that the album will include a riff that he’s been working on for 25 years.
“First time I demoed it was in my…basement in Seattle,” he explained. “Every record I’m, like, ‘Oh, let’s put it on!’ And then I’m, like, ‘Eh, didn’t work.'”
The new album figures to be a part of the Foos’ promised “insane” 2020, though Grohl didn’t reveal any specific release date. You can catch the band live at this year’s Something in the Water, New Orleans Jazz and Boston Calling festivals.
Also in the interview, Grohl talked about a new documentary he’s working on about bands touring in vans, and recounted the time around 2000 to 2001 when the Foo Fighters contemplated breaking up.
